What's included
What's in every coating
Full hand wash and dry. Iron decontamination. Clay bar. Bonding polish (full correction is a separate line if the paint needs it). CarPro coating on every painted panel, and the plastic trim is coated too, no extra.
The reload. Somewhere between 6 and 12 months we come back, wash the car and put a CarPro Reload treatment on it, free. It tops the coating's water beading back up and stretches how long it lasts.
Why CarPro and not a "certified" brand. Some brands charge $2,000 and up, and a lot of that is the badge and the warranty paperwork. CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0 is what a lot of serious shops use anyway. Same protection, applied properly, without the markup. If you want it to last longer, the Long-life tier is two layers of CarPro DQuartz.

How much does a ceramic coating cost in Austin?
$950 to $1,550 for the coating on its own, set by vehicle size: $950 for a coupe, $1,050 for a sedan, $1,200 for an SUV or truck, $1,350 for a three-row and $1,550 oversized. Most cars need a one-step polish first, which makes it $1,200 to $2,000. A full two-step correction plus coating is $1,450 to $2,350, and the Long-life two-layer coating is $1,250 to $2,000. Every price includes the wash, decon, clay, bonding polish and the free reload visit, with no travel fee.
Coating or correction, which do I need?
A coating protects the paint from here on. Correction removes the swirls and scratches already in it. If the paint has swirls, do correction first, then coat, or the coating locks the swirls in. The Correction + coating tab bundles both.
Do I need a garage?
For a coating, yes, or at least a carport. It needs a clean, dry spot for about 12 hours. Paint correction on its own doesn't need one, just shade.
How long does a coating last?
Standard (CQuartz UK 3.0) is 2 to 3 years with normal washing. Long-life (two layers of DQuartz) is built to outlast it. The free reload at 6 to 12 months stretches either one.
How is the price decided?
By the size of the car. The number on the page for your size is the number, and it never goes up without your OK. The only thing we check in person is whether the paint needs correction first, and that's your call.
How long does it take?
Coating alone is about a day. Correction plus coating is one to two days depending on the paint. Then it cures overnight.
How do I wash it afterward?
Two buckets or a touchless wash, no automatic brush washes. We'll walk you through it and you can always book a Maintain and let us do it.
Do I need to be home?
No. We need access to the car and a spot to work. Most people leave a key or meet us for a minute. You get a text and photos when it's done.
When do I pay?
After the detail, once you've looked the car over. Booking saves your card without charging it. The charge goes through when the job is done.
